Last updated: 2026-06-17 · Version 1.2
AITourPilot ("AITourPilot", "we", "us" or "our") builds tools that help museum visitors interact with our AI tour guide across mobile and web.
We respect your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the rights you have. It applies to our mobile applications, websites, and any other services that link to this policy (collectively, the "Services").
1. Information We Collect
We collect only the information necessary to provide and improve our Services:
- Account information (e.g., name, email, password).
- Usage data and device information (e.g., app interactions, device type, crash logs, analytics).
- Communications you send to us (e.g., support requests, feedback).
- Audio input when interacting with the AI guide (processed to provide responses; stored only if explicitly allowed for service improvement).
- Location data if you enable it for personalized museum experiences.
2. How We Use Information
We process your information for the following purposes and legal bases (GDPR):
- Provide and improve Services — to deliver the AI tour guide and new features (performance of contract).
- Secure and troubleshoot Services — fraud detection, monitoring, and debugging (legitimate interest).
- Communicate with you — send updates, respond to support (consent/contract).
- Legal compliance — fulfill obligations under applicable law.
3. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your data. We may share information with:
- Service providers (e.g., hosting, analytics, payment, email delivery).
- Legal and regulatory authorities if required to comply with law or protect rights and safety.
- Other parties with your explicit consent or at your direction.
Where data is transferred outside the EU/EEA, we rely on safeguards such as Standard Contractual Clauses or adequacy decisions.
4. Your Rights
If you are located in the EU/EEA or similar jurisdictions, you have the right to:
- Access, update, or delete your information.
- Restrict or object to certain processing.
- Request a copy of your data (portability).
- Withdraw consent at any time (where processing is based on consent).
You may exercise these rights by contacting us (see Section 10). You also have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority.
5. Data Retention
We retain personal data only as long as necessary:
- Account data — kept until you delete your account or request removal.
- Audio interactions — processed in real time, deleted unless you consent to storage for improvements.
- Legal/compliance records — retained as required by applicable law.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Services are not directed to children under 13 (or the minimum age required by local law, e.g. 16 under GDPR). We do not knowingly collect data from children without parental consent. If we become aware of such data, we delete it.
7. Security
We implement technical and organizational measures to protect your data, including encryption in transit and at rest, access controls, and regular audits. No system is 100% secure, so we encourage you to also protect your account with strong passwords.
8. Cookies & Tracking
Our websites may use cookies or similar technologies to provide functionality, analyze usage, and personalize your experience. You can manage cookie settings through your browser or in-app preferences.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by email or in-app notice. The "Last updated" date at the top reflects the latest version.
