A team of former LEGO creatives, which is a way of saying we have spent a long time watching real people use what we built, and rebuilding it when they showed us we had it wrong. At LEGO House alone that ran to more than 3,000 user-test participants – which is why running the testing on site during a pilot is routine for us rather than a leap.

We want the eyes back on the art.
Visitors look things up on the phone to understand what they are standing in front of. But while you are reading a phone, you are not looking. Our task is to make that lookup unnecessary – to answer where the visitor is standing, so the eyes stay on the work.
The visitor still sets it up on their own phone. What changes is the half hour after that: nothing to key in, nothing to search for, nothing holding their eyes while the work is in front of them.
Curiosity belongs to the visitor.
A conversational AI should wake a visitor’s curiosity and make her see and feel more – not take it from her, and never interpret on her behalf. Henry answers so that she understands what she is standing in front of, and he can ask back, so that she looks again and notices what the work does to her.
Understanding is not the goal in itself. It is the way to seeing and feeling more.
With Henry the interpretation stays with the visitor. It is the only one that matters.
